Accomplished Actress Heidi Bohay is currently a co-host during the morning segment of GSN’s six-hour daily interstitial program, GSN LIVE, as well as the nationally syndicated, Emmy Award-winning home show “Better Homes and Gardens." Over the past year alone, Bohay and Co-Hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Fred Roggin have given away more than one million dollars in cash and prizes to GSN viewers. A long-time game show fan, Bohay has previously made celebrity appearances on game shows like “Hollywood Squares” and “Win, Lose, or Draw,” in addition to several episodes of “The $25,000 Pyramid” as a special guest panelist.
Bohay originally hails from South Bound Brook, NJ, where she began doing modeling and commercial work in New York City at the age of sixteen. While she is arguably best known for her portrayal of “Megan Kendall” on the long-running primetime ABC series “Hotel,” starring James Brolin and Connie Sellecca, Bohay has also guest starred on several other highly rated shows, including “Cold Case,” “Arli$$,” “Murder She Wrote” and “The Love Boat.”
After several successful acting gigs, Bohay transitioned to hosting, beginning with the Family Channel’s long-running “American Baby Show,” followed by work on NBC’s “PrimeTime Tonight,” before moving on to “Better Homes and Gardens.” She has also achieved success on several infomercials, including Victoria Principal’s “Principal Secret,” Time/Life’s platinum hit recordings of “The Love Connection” and most recently, one for the record-setting Nu-Wave oven.
Bohay is married to her husband, Michael Spound, whom she met in 1988 on the set of “Hotel,” after the two had been paired together to play husband and wife. A classical pianist and gourmet chef, Bohay recently became a certified Pilates instructor. She also donates her free time and raises funds for the Eden Institute—a center that assists adults living with autism—in honor of her sister Tammy. Bohay currently resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband and their three boys, two dogs, two cats, one bird, one lizard and a goldfish.
