AMY INTROCASO-DAVIS JOINS GSN AS HEAD OF PROGRAMMING
Network Continues to Expand Original Programming
Santa Monica, CA— October 18, 2011 – Accomplished programming executive Amy Introcaso-Davis, who served as a creative architect of both Bravo and Oxygen, will join GSN (Game Show Network) as Executive Vice President of Programming on November 1, reporting to GSN’s President & CEO David Goldhill. Introcaso-Davis will be responsible for developing and acquiring programming designed to grow GSN's core audience of adult females, and will work out of the network’s Los Angeles offices.
Goldhill said, “Amy has an impressive track record of creating phenomenally successful and culturally relevant content. We're particularly pleased to have her join GSN in a year when we've substantially increased our original programming and acquired some exciting series to engage our audience. Amy's creative vision and leadership will be critical as we continue to enhance our programming choices for our viewers.”
Introcaso-Davis added, "As a fan, I have loved watching updates of such iconic series as The Newlywed Game on GSN. I am energized by the network's commitment to increasing original production and am excited by the prospect of leading the charge to redefine the game show for this multi-platform world.”
Introcaso-Davis comes to GSN after three and a half years as Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development with NBCUniversal’s Oxygen Media, where she oversaw development and production of the critically acclaimed summer hit, The Glee Project. She also oversaw production of the highly successful series, Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood; Oxygen's highest rated freshman series ever, Hair Battle Spectacular; and ratings leader Bad Girls Club.
Prior to Oxygen, Introcaso-Davis served as Senior Vice President of Development and Production for Bravo, where she developed and executive produced the ground-breaking series, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, for which she won an Emmy® Award, as well as the two-time Emmy® Award-winning series, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List and the Emmy® Award-winning Cirque du Soleil: Fire Within. She was also responsible for the development of the Real Housewives franchise; long-running hits The Millionaire Matchmaker and Flipping Out; and fan favorites Celebrity Poker Showdown and Showbiz Moms and Dads.
Previously, Introcaso-Davis served as VP for Series at Lifetime, and held a primetime development and casting role at FOX. She began her career in casting at Playwrights Horizons in New York, where she cast the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy.
The hiring of Introcaso-Davis comes on the heels of GSN’s announcement of Stephen Croncota’s joining the company as EVP and Chief Marketing Officer last week, and signals a new commitment to programming and branding at the network. Croncota is a former marketing chief at E! and Cartoon Network.
Goldhill added, “With both Amy and Stephen on board, GSN has a team of first-class creative executives who will help us better serve our growing audience, and take the network to a new level of popularity.”
