‘GSN LIVE™’ DOUBLES VIEWERS’ CHANCES TO WIN BY EXTENDING THREE MORE HOURS EACH WEEKDAY BEGINNING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

‘CATCH 21’ HOST ALFONSO RIBEIRO TO JOIN HEIDI BOHAY AT ‘GSN LIVE’ HELM WHILE EMMY AWARD-WINNING NBC SPORTS ANCHOR FRED ROGGIN MOVES TO NEW EDITION, HOSTING WITH FORMER ‘BAYWATCH’ STAR KELLY PACKARD

(Santa Monica, Calif.) – Monday, September 8, 2008 – GSN announced the addition of three hours of live game play and coverage to its weekday programming lineup, doubling its original, live daily interstitial program, GSN LIVE. Every weekday starting Monday, September 15, the network will telecast GSN LIVE from Noon to 3PM ET/ 9AM to Noon PT, followed by the new extension of the program from 3PM to 6PM ET/Noon to 3PM PT.

A fan-favorite and an engaging way to watch and win, GSN LIVE will now give its viewing audience twice as many daily chances to win, all from the comfort of their own living rooms. GSN LIVE’s new features will celebrate all things games, including memorable game show moments of yesterday and today, as well as reality competition shows, and almost any entertaining type of competition/game element imaginable.

Double the fun means double the hosts as Kelly Packard (“Baywatch,” “California Dreams”) and Alfonso Ribeiro (“Catch 21,” “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”) team up with Fred Roggin (NBC sports anchor and Olympic commentator) and Heidi Bohay (‘Better Homes and Gardens,’ ‘After Hours’) to navigate the audience through six hours of prize-winning opportunities.

Bohay returns as host of the first three hours of GSN LIVE with a new partner in Ribeiro, who is already familiar with awarding cash and prizes as host of GSN’s newest game show, CATCH 21. Bohay and Ribeiro will help viewers celebrate many of the unforgettable moments of yesterday’s game show classics, while rolling out a number of exciting new opportunities for viewers in the coming months, including daily sweepstakes and other giveaways. Starting September, all contestants who make it through to play on the show will be entered to win a year’s worth of groceries in GSN LIVE’s GREAT GROCERY GIVEAWAY sweepstakes (awarded monthly).

GSN LIVE’s second three-hour block will be hosted by Roggin and GSN newcomer Packard, who will guide the viewers just back from work to the kids coming out of class in a celebration of the contemporary “classics in the making” that are popular with audiences today. It is slated to be telecast between recent favorites like LINGO, WEAKEST LINK, and CHAIN REACTION.

An at-home experience unlike any other, GSN LIVE combines the history of the game show genre with the exciting game play of six, daily in-show games. Executive produced by Burt Dubrow (“I’ve Got A Secret,” “The New Tom Green Show”), GSN LIVE gives viewers at home an easy way to play either by calling the toll free phone number (1-888-4-GSN-LIVE) or participating free, online at GSN.com, making winning within reach for everyone. Prizes awarded to winning viewers include exotic vacations, high-tech electronics, major appliances, fine jewelry, and so much more.

“We have been extremely pleased with the viewer response and participation in our first season of GSN LIVE and it just made perfect sense to us to double their pleasure and give them more of what they’re craving for,” says Heidi Diamond, GSN executive vice president. ”GSN is about giving our audience members new and exciting chances to win, in real-time, every day, so adding three more hours to the daily schedule is a bonus we believe our viewers and online audience will really enjoy.”

For viewers who like to learn more about the total game show and competition experience, GSN LIVE will treat them to specially produced segments through the six-hour programming block. The regular segments include: Games Around the Globe (covering multicultural competitions and global game show hijinks), The Game Buzz (what’s happening in the world of games), Behind The Scenes (taking viewers backstage with their favorite game show personalities to discover on-set secrets and how the show is made), Games On The Run (where the GSN LIVE Game Crew hits the streets, in malls and tourist attractions around the country, for instant games where lucky unsuspecting contestants can win prizes on the spot), Foreign Exchange (taking a look at international versions of favorite games), and GSN LIVE Game Guru (providing tips and hints for getting better scores and having more fun and success).

In addition to doling out prizes to GSN’s at-home audience, Bohay, Ribeiro, Roggin and Packard will welcome special guests ranging from game show veterans to celebrities and newsmakers. Also, starting in October, they will be engaged with the online audience 10 minutes before and after each live telecast through live streaming video on GSN.com, where online viewers also can participate in a Live Chat with celebrity guests. Packard, a native of Glendale, Calif., was a series regular on the immensely popular “Baywatch,” playing lifeguard April Gaminksi, and was one of the original series regulars throughout the four-year run of “California Dreams,” playing “surfer babe” bass-guitarist Tiffani Smith. The former Miss California Pre-Teen (1988) also was a field correspondent on “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!” and has starred on such series as “The Wonder Years,” “Blossom,” “Step by Step” and “Boy Meets World.”

“Ever since I won thirty-two hundred dollars on ‘Card Sharks’ as a kid contestant, I’ve been a huge fan of game shows, so joining Fred and the GSN LIVE team and being able to share my own experience with the audience will be a special thrill,” says Packard, on her new role on GSN LIVE.”

Adds Ribeiro, regarding his expanded network duties with GSN LIVE: “My career has taken on some exciting twists and turns with GSN. It’s been such an adrenaline rush to host a new game show like CATCH 21 that airs every night, and being a part of a live daily telecast with Heidi (Bohay) is going to be a great kick start to the day.”

In addition to providing viewers with more participation options, GSN LIVE continues to offer advertisers unique sponsorship opportunities over a variety of mediums including television and broadband platforms. The six-hour series also offers multiple avenues and opportunities for cable, satellite and telephony providers to sponsor game events.
